Coach Hanshaw was named Offensive Coordinator in December of 2020. He joined the Pinnacle Football coaching staff in July 2017. Coach Hanshaw is originally from Marietta, GA and graduated from Pope HS in 2007. He then attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC where he played football and earned his degree in Business Administration. In August 2012, he gained his first coaching and teaching position at Southwest Onslow High School in Jacksonville, NC. He remained there until June 2015. In August of 2015, he became the Tight End Coach and Assistant Offensive Line Coach at Thomas Moore College in Crestview Hills, KY. In 2016, Coach Hanshaw became the Varsity Offensive Line Coach at Estero HS in Estero, FL. He currently teaches Social Studies at Pinnacle High School. He got married in March of 2020 to his beautiful wife, Julia. Matt and Julia have an amazing baby boy and three dogs.
